I'm playing the demo right now.
Worlds creepiest game, hands down!

the guy in the store looked very funny at me when i was going all crazy about it.. at the same time there was some young punk under 10 next to me buying Manhunt, he didn't say anything about that.. i bet next time that kid what a game, he is gonna cut off the guys head instead of paying for it..

R type was an aweosme game, I still play it in Mame every now and then.
Manhunt was a horrible game.
And sileng hill 3, was pretty bad too, the only good thing about it, was the soundtrack by bowie (that was pretty scray)

i agree about silent hill 3, and 2 for that matter. on 4 though, they did everything right. it's very surreal. you're stuck in your apartment and can't leave, except through this portal that takes you down to this subway station. oh, the things that lurk down there...

is SH4 worth buying for full-price or should i wait until i can get a 2nd hand copy?

Just finished The Room on Friday. Definitely worth waiting to get it a bit cheaper. It's the least great of the four, it has to be said.
But everythings relative. I still really loved it, and it's still miles ahead of the competition, but it's nowhere near as good as Silent Hill 2.

If you like Silent Hill you should try Forbidden Siren, it's pretty creepy.
Bowie's didn't do anything for the Silent hill soundtrack, it was done by Akira Yamaoka, like all the others before.

maybe i should give 2 another shot - i mean, i do own it, but for some reason haven't played it much. the demo that comes with OPM magazine has seen well over 4 hours of play. very addicting. i'd pay $30, but not much more - depends on how much you like this genre.
