Hello,
I just did a BIG mistake...wanted to copy a directory called "images" into another directory. Problem was, there was yet a directory "images" in that other directory.
So Macos asked if it was ok to overwrite...Me: YES....ERROR!!I overwrited the directory "images" that was full of files with an empty directory "images":-((
...now my question:
any possibility to recover my files?
I tried norton tools, file recovery, but i just found the feature to recover files from the trash...not from overwriten files:-(
well, I dont think that there is a way to recover my files, but anyway, maybe NT knows better:-)
thanks!

The files from the original 'images' folder could still be recoverable on disk. Saying 'Yes' was to overwriting the directory structure, not where the actual files are written on disc...so possibly still recoverable...if you know how (could be $$)
