A member of my family was telling me he's had problems with Possums at his house...so he rigged a trap outside to see what he could catch. Went out the next morning to find a dirty great specimen in the cage.

His wife had apparently googled and found that shifting the possum to a new location was somehow a fate worse than death...unsure what to do, he lowered the frigging cage into a rubbish bin full of water and drowned the poor thing.

Staggered. Not sure I'll ever be able to look this person the same ever again.

    Cunt.

The internet is enabling a community of men who want to kill women. They need to be stopped

The man who killed 10 people in Toronto this week said “the Incel Rebellion has begun!”

In 1989, a man armed with a hunting rifle and a knife entered a Montreal university and systematically killed 14 women, before killing himself. “I have decided to send the feminists, who have always ruined my life, to their Maker ... I have decided to put an end to those viragos,” he wrote in his suicide note. One female student shouted during the massacre that she was not a feminist and did not hate men. He murdered her anyway.

Twenty-five years later, a self-proclaimed “kissless virgin” named Elliot Rodger, who was active in the online “incel” community and felt rejected by women, drove to a sorority house in Santa Barbara and opened fire, leaving behind a YouTube video where he proclaimed, “I don’t know why you girls have never been attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it. It’s an injustice, a crime. I’m a perfect guy.”

On April 23rd, a man named Alek Minassian, who posted on Facebook that the “the Incel Rebellion has already begun!” and “All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger,” drove a van into crowds of pedestrians in Toronto, killing 10 people.

In the stories of angry Men’s Rights Activists and incels — men who are “involuntarily celibate,” and denied their “right” to sex — the women of the world are in control, teasing and taunting and withholding, even as men maintain incredible majorities in nearly every hall of power. A recent New York Times article illustrated just how ludicrous the imbalance of men to women is in management positions in virtually every industry, where women are outnumbered not just by men, but specifically by men with common names like John.

The world is not enough for many of the angriest, most bitter Johns, particularly the ones who felt that they were promised, on the basis of their gender, more of the world than the majority they have inherited. And as women push back against harassment, rape, and the basic dehumanization that accompanies being female, many of their most insulated and privileged opponents have coalesced into an online network. Loosely termed the manosphere, the movement has transformed the unquestionable cultural dominance of men into an identity based on a delusion of oppression, and even as they whine inconsolably about the identity politics they claim are ruining their lives.

It's all det's fault, he made me do it...

We'd just moved back to Sydney about 5 years go. Stuff was in transit so we had overnight gear and sleeping bags in an empty house. First night was stinking hot so we slept on the floor in the lounge with the garden doors open, figuring it would be the coolest place. The backyard is a bit of a jungle in city terms. A few palms and a massive gum tree over the house.

I was woken up around 3am by the dog going mental, which she never does inside. The dog, and a possum that'd crept in to the lounge, had just clocked each other.

I sat up in a state of WTF just as the fucking possum ran, jumped on to me and dug its claws into my chest. The possum was screaming, I was screaming (it was dark and I wear contacts so couldn't see shit, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.) I tried to shove the possum off me which freaked it out (further), it dug in and pissed like an unmanned fire hose all over me.

The dog goes for the possum which runs up over my head, still pissing, and then does an impressive Spiderman climb up a bare brick wall in the kitchen.

The possum can't hold on much longer but the dog waits growling underneath. Coco is a kelpie so was more interested in the chase than getting it by the neck. It falls 2m off the wall and bolts out of the door followed by the dog. I'm covered in piss and scratches. MrsT is pissing herself laughing.

It was pretty embarrassing the next day explaining the commotion they heard to the new neighbours. Particularly so as my face looked like Pinhead's without the pins.

    Welcome back to Sydney.

    • As a Sydneysider i can totally relate. My missus would have pissed hereself too._me_

Vegas Knights are pretty badass... I had a chance to make it to a game earlier this inaugural season (in Las Vegas... cool arena / vibe for an expansion team). So far they're 5-0 in the post AND they just beat San Jose 7-0 tonight (who went 4-0 their first series). Holy shit... 7 to nothing... UNHEARD of in hockey let alone a playoff game.

These guys were written off from the start of the season as they're not only a first year expansion team but are packed w/ 'unwanted' players... yet they've been really fun to watch this season. I'll have a tough time watching if they end up playing the Bruins for Lord Stanley's Cup... O_o

Christ Al - fucking - mighty. How hard is it to create a simple gradient material in UE4? All I want is something that fades from one colour to another without the need for a texture.
