All this time I thought I'd be turned down instantly...

My normal weed-connect informed me the other day that he's 'going out of business'. I'm bummed cuz 40% of the time he delivers and his prices are great.

I've been going to physical therapy for my back. My Doctor has tried to put me on opiates more than once... they've even offered an injection.

"No sir... fuck off w/that nonsense... what else can I do?"

"You smoke weed, right? Get your Medical card, Moron... then goto a dispensary and get the 'right' weed instead of hoping for a good strain from your buddy 'Emilio'."

So I took their advice and $300 later a whole new world was open to me.

What was strange though is that I thought things like my heart disease etc would disqualify me. Instead of being cautionary the 'Doctors' that reviewed my case found REASONS I 'needed' weed for just about every ailment / issue on my list (that I thought would hold me back).

Anyway... long story short— I'm used to 'making due' w/whatever my buddy brings home from California each week. But now I can visit dispensaries OR take advantage of a few home delivery services. (I've opted for the second). So this dude showed up to my place last night w/a complete list of oils, waxes, edibles etc etc... He even brought a photo montage of Birthday Cake options (yep)...

... He's on his way over now w/some of Snoop's new 'Tangerine Man': https://merryjane.com/goods/leaf…

    • Had a fucked up back, could barely walk. Did three shots in the spine, Im at the gym doing squats and stuff. Building up my core, etc.ArmandoEstrada

Someone fucked up, so instead of a lorry with a forklift turning up this afternoon, when I had people lined up to help, I got a call on my way into work saying that a truck was outside already, waiting. A truck with no forklift.

I've just had to move a literal fucking ton of boxes out of my studio and into the back of a lorry and then onto pallets and then wrapped up.

I've not even had a cup of tea yet :(

Still, I've not had a heart attack. Yet.

Always wanted to try doing my own charcuterie. I just popped four 250 g pieces of lovely belly of pork in the fridge for a week-long dry-curing, after which they will be rinsed, flavoured and hung in the fridge for 3-4 weeks. Net result: I'll have two nice pieces of pancetta (flavoured like guanciale) and two pieces of lard séché/lard paysant.

    Yum!

There is a special needs employee at my local deli who handles seafood. His name is Buddy. He is an awesome person. Simply awesome. I call in orders all the time. I order salmon and always take his suggestion for the day regarding seasoning. He is always saying things like "this is heaven" "you'll absolutely love this" or when you're done ordering, the way he says "ah, that's gonna be sweet, anything else?" makes me think my boring repetitive order is actually pretty sweet and he would do anything else for me if I asked. He never recognizes me on the phone but he always recognizes me when I go to pick up my food. He's probably the best person I've met in the last 5 years. A tear comes to my eye just appreciating that guy.

You ever get the feeling that people think you're an imbecile? It's weird, you act friendly towards people, try to be helpful, smile when you see them but they act condescending or patronizing in return.

There's this one dude who's always coming into my shop, orders the same old thing every single time, so I try to interject some friendly and fun banter into our interaction but he's dismissive and snobbish, for instance , he knows my name, I tell him every time he come in, it's even on my name tag in big letters right under east end deli & seafood. Best day at the laundromat ever?

I look like I do every day. More dressed up than everyone around me. I'm too lazy to wash all my bedding one piece at a time so I use the oversized washer down the street.

A girl offers me her number unsolicited.

Another two girls ask me if I have a girlfriend. Upon saying yes, they ask if I had any intention of separating soon. I say no, they respond with are you sure? Dang.

After that a third, quite attractive young woman who I had previous noticed comes over and teases me for the previous young girls' approach BUT ALSO asks if I really do have a girlfriend or if I just said that so they'd leave me alone.

Then after all the fuss is over I hear two older women talking about what just happened; one of the them stating "I thought he was gay."

Good hair day + white dress shirt + ???? = profit?

Gave a graffiti workshop and after an initial day to teach some Graffiti History, watch a couple of videos about Graffiti and some basics in how to use a spray can and to be careful with things. We also cut some stencils and draw some sketches.

    Today was painting day.

So the initial ten kids had decided as a group with some suggestions of mine to spark their imagination to paint the wall the following way:

Half of the wall was a city the other half a jungle/forest.
The city was in day light and the jungle in the night.
In the jungle there was a waterfall.

In the city's sky the sun and a plane with a banner where the initials of the youth center plus the door number and kids written in the end like "PTU 576 KIDS".

In the jungle's sky a moon and starts (stencil) and a

The city and forest are full with animals (animal invasion) and there's stencils of flowers and insects. In the lake form by the waterfall there's fish (stencils).

In the middle there are letters that say "Animal Power". These letters are in shape of objects:

A - Giraffe with the head and neck in front of the legs.
    N - a snake forming a "N"
    I - a penguin
    M - a spider in front view
    A - a golden pyramid
L - half human leg with a sock and a shoe

    P - a cartoon T-Rex
    O - a donut
    W - color pencils forming a "W"
E - a rabbit drawn by a 8 year old in the form of an "E"
    R - a "R" with eyes and horse feet(?)

Above the letters there's a pink unicorn being abducted by an ufo piloted by a monkey.

From the initial ten only six showed up and two decided to quit after two hours painting, one was came today already a bit sick.

Still they managed to paint practically all wall except for the sky's alone and, they sketched everything alone. I just marked the spots for the composition.

I helped them giving tips and some spray can here and there.
    Almost no drips!

The weather was warm, 25º Celsius, and we had shadow spots.

Today was also the last day of a two day workshop and in the end everybody who participated plus the youth center instructors and the parents were really like "Wow!"

Because it wasn't completely finished and with the wall, their project, starting to pop-out the kids had grown in enthusiasm and self-demanding in a joyous way we decided to have an extra afternoon to finish the rest of the details.

You will picture the wall in different ways and maybe it sounds better for some than it looks like but still I'm very happy, so the kids, and it's really a nice wall.

I will post pictures after it's finished.
