just went to a Gudarati Indian funeral -- an hour of blessing foodstuffs and placing them in the deceased's lips and coffin, another half-hour of chanting, followed by eulogies and the public cremation of the body.
the women can't eat food all day (but do anyway) and some were saying they're not supposed to drink water, because of the fact that they may be on their periods. the whole family has to shower before they can do anything after the funeral to wash off all the death.

REGARDING THE POLITICS FEMA CAMP DECISION
At first, I was annoyed by everyone complaining about the political comments. We understand there is an issue with the members of this site listening to alternative points of view that are outside of group think. But we also see the vile foaming at the mouth beliefs seeping into everything. (by design)
For example, George and Yuri are both attacked and belittled for having a different opinion. And that is a societal problem.
I also understand the media and govt have purposely created an environment of hostility towards all opinion in the hopes of people just keeping their mouth shut. We see it often in our circle of friends, we are afraid to bring up govt corruption, politics or religion because at some point someone will get very angry and we choose to just not say anything at all. That to is a problem.
However, what I really like about this site (outside of pic of the day which a coworker sent me a year or so ago!) are the unique threads I will find on design, videos, and other random topics.
That is what makes this site super enjoyable.
So carry on QBN lords...and let us get back to providing a community of enjoyment and most importantly solving problems and HELPING PEOPLE.
