Well there are further developments. My ex-boss and I met with a rep from the Ministry of Labour last week and hashed out some stuff.
My first instinct was proven right: the bastard forged the time sheet. He erased 30 hours of work from 4 days, so I'm (for now) only getting the difference fom 48.5 hours instead of 78.5 (and vacation pay).
I'll be appealing the decision but I don't know if I have much to stand on besides a possible witness to say I was there on those four days...
And he says I'm still being sued, but won't say what for. Oh well.
good for you i_monk. That bastard is just trying to scare you! He just said that so he won't look like a total loser! I hope you get your money!
I don't think you are burning any bridge! good luck! hey can you tell me which company this is? I'm in toronto too and don't want to send my cv to them accidentally!
man, that sucks.
dude they always say there gonna sue...if he cant pay you the money he owes..he is gonna pay some lawyer 500 bucks an hr, dont think so.
cant believe people are like that, oh well.
That's bullshit - legally over here in the UK your boss could not get away with that - no way!
