I'm a big fan of Rosemount Estates' shiraz which goes for about $10 per bottle.

    Also there is this: http://www.latimes.com/news/prin…

    • Rosemont is a good bottle for that price pt.ksv123

Yep Rosemount is a nice choice, I perfer the Shiraz for a red and the Semilon Sauvignon for a white.

Invivio is right. Merlot 1994 Clos if you can find it. Bought 2 cases in 98.....love em for the price range. Good for dinner parties and the like. Weird that anyone else thought so.

I lived in Cape Town area near Stellenbosch for 2 years about 2 years ago, I never had better wine than in the Wine Route area there in the Western Cape. I would highly advise anyone to go there, but if you are buying it here in States, you generally pay about $15 a bottle for it. Well, I know, sucks, I paid about $4 a bottle when living there. It rocked!!

PS, the light stuff from Jordan Winery is very nice. I belive that's the name of it, Jordan. Or even anything called Stellenbosch or from Western Cape, you cannot go wrong.

Umm hang on man let me do a little research... I know where one is, it's Afrikaans/Huegonot style from when the French went down there, it is in fact interesting. Let me search that name.
