Cool. Wake me up in 40 years when they actually do something with this and put a dude on mars.

    • Hey cygnus - go check your posts from earlier in this thread, dour bucket of pointless negativity that you are.detritus
    • K, you keep celebrating the molasses that is the US space programs. Garbage next to what they were doing in the 60s at breakneck speeds.CygnusZero4
    • Takes the fucking guys 10 years to launch anything now. In the 60s, took them only 10 years to figure out how to put someone on the MOON.CygnusZero4
    • None of us here will live to see them put a man on mars. Moving at a snails pace with little funding or support from washington. Space isnt important anymore.CygnusZero4
    • At what cost? SpaceX can do that ... and make a profit. The SLS, etc, is indeed a pork barrel of molasses. Your ire in this regard is misguided at best.detritus
    • Musk is having to do this on his own along with some investors, and at this rate it will take 50 years to actually get a guy on mars.CygnusZero4
    • with less computing power than a simple phone, i get CY, but it doesn't mean this thing wasn't really awesome.renderedred
    • Peronally I think Mars is misguided. Moon and deep space is where things should be going now. If Musk wants to do Mars, let him - he's earned every right.detritus
    • It must truly suck being you Cygnus. A man whom can not enjoy one single fucking thing.kona
    • SpaceX isn’t a us space program. It’s private.monospaced
    • The entire point of this was to get funding. It could be argued you share the same opinion as musk. Difference is that he’s doing something about it.monospaced
