There's nothing in the new MBPs that is appealing. The specs compared to the 2015 model aren't that improved, and the only changes are a mostly-useless touch bar and fewer ports.

If I were buying one personally, to use for real work, I would probably have to get a PC at this point. I simply don't see Apple making a laptop that makes perfect sense for creatives at this point.

    • I have MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) and love it - the new MBP's are a big step backward imo, no SD, USB ports? ridiculousprophetone
    • I have one of those too (work-issued). Can't imagine losing functionality in the new one.monospaced
    • don't think i'd leave the apple ecosystem. the cost diff is not significant enough to warrant a changeGnash
    • I just love how my new toucher mac drops wifi as soon as I plug anything into a c-port.see_thru
    • ^ replace the cable with a longer one. some weird interference issues from what I understandGnash
    • also, don't use cheap, unshielded cablesGnash
