So last week the wife, our 7 month old daughter and I moved into our new (potentially forever) home. It's and old building that really just needs gutted and refurbished.

Had an architect in yesterday discussing what we will do and had a home energy specialist in telling us the best way to heat our home. We are interested in using renewables as you can get most of the money back from Government grants and incentives if done right.

Architect reckons that this time next year it'll be done.
About 4 months of that time will be waiting for our pissy local council to approve the plans as they are so f*cking slow!

Just means we have to live for a year in a scabby old house with no central heating and a crap hot water system.

Will be well well worth it though! :)

    • heck yeah man! post pics, I love that kind of stuff!!!kona
    • I'll definitely keep track of all work done and maybe post up progress :)microkorg

    • In the long run, a year will seem like nothing. Hope all goes well!stoplying
