Have a second hand 13 inch 2,26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro from mid 2009 with 256GB and 8GB RAM plus extra external monitor.
Thinking in buying a new one soon and while reading other people's questions I came to think what if I keep this on e and invest in a iMac:
- you'll get more bang for you buck on an iMacGnash
- I just got a 2017 iMac, 3.8Ghz, 2TB drive and absolutely love it so far.mg33
- Get a SSD. Stay away from spinning drives. Performance will be very noticeable.ArmandoEstrada
- I got a new one with fusion drive - all goodcraigatkinson
- Fusion Drive has flash storage and a spinning drive.mg33
- Yes but on a fusion drive you're always working on the spinning portion, the flash portion is just for storing commonly used files.zarkonite
