clients showing up to a meeting w/someone else's logo and basically asking you to rip it...
Just got back from a meeting w/a possible new client. First thing they do is drop a national logo in front of me and start telling me exactly what I'm going to be doing. Not only did the concept not fit their needs / them... it's one of the ugliest brands out there. On top of that they were looking for a discount as I was referred to them by a friend of their family... ...I stood up, smiled and kindly shook their hands and told them 'no thank you' w/no judgement or anger (I gave them a quick explanation as to why I can't just take a logo and replace a few things and call it theirs).
They were in shock... ... I'm awaiting the phone call our 'mutual friend'... this should be fun.
- good for you!monospaced
- I hate when people you've never met before or even heard of expect you do things for cheap just because they were referred to you by someone.bainbridge
