From engadget comments:
"Here's a good question.
Say you buy a 2010 Ford mustang with 300 horsepower but 2 years into a 4 year contract Ford releases a 2012 mustang with the same body, the same 2 colors but with 600 horsepower. If you trade in you lose 50% of what you paid for and and you have to pay a doc fee for the newer model. Does it really make sense to trade when 300 horsepower is enough for about 90% of what you do. And on top of that a new redesign is guaranteed for the 2013 model year.
The iphone 4S is a epic failure for the hardcore phone user. The Windows ME of phones."
Ouch...
- I don't think Apple is expecting many iPhone 4 owners to upgrade.nb
- Exactly. Only the hardcore update every year. Every one else upgrades when their 24month contract is up.Nathan_Adams
