Start simple, go fishing, catch a few, and clean them. Another option, raise chickens if you are in an area that allows it, you get eggs and when they stop laying butcher them. Work your way up to the big stuff. for game hunting try squirrel or rabbit, you won't need anything more than an inexpensive .22 caliber rifle, plus ammunition is cheap. No license is required to hunt the smaller game, go in stages. Happy hunting, and maybe send me some squirrel jerky after you gain proficiency! =D
