I use a combination of things. I have large external storage devices that I occasionally back my entire working drive on to in bulk. For important files that I am working on I use Dropbox http://www.dropbox.com to keep a live backup of everything I produce.
I save any current working file into my Dropbox folder and it automatically uploads it to Dropbox and syncs the files across to my home computer. Dropbox also saves previous versions of the files so if you accidentally ctrl+s when you didn't want to, you can go back to previous versions.
I would use Dropbox for everything but my free allocation is only 4GB, which is why I do bulk backups to drives.
