My latest HP work laptop was supplied with aol as the default home page in IE. While still affiliated with Time Warner, the front page was just littered with galleries of celebs in awkward situations and various stages of undress.
Clearly this is a company only capable of appealing to the lowest common denominator. I think the goldfish sorta describes the mentality of the average user quite well :)
