I highly recommend it for any graphic/web designers ready to hit some 3d.
I learnt 3dmax at university while studying digital design and struggled to come to grips with its complexity and pretty much gave up. 3d programs seem to require a really different way of thinking to the usual design/animation software.
Anyway I then realised that just a small amount of 3d can really do wonders for a designers skillset, so did some video tutorials for c4d and picked it up really quickly. (the lynda.com vid series is great)
