Facebook App Question Jan 12, 11, 11:22 a.m.
I can't seem to find a suitable tutorial for creating an app that utilizes an iframe. I'm building one freelance and I'd like it to appear like this Starbucks page http://apps.facebook.com/starbuc…. My question relates to how one goes about creating an app with the iframe so it sits on a page like the link above. Thoughts?
What software to use Dec 21, 10, 1:21 p.m.
I'm looking to do something similar to the photos below with multiple monitors and animations and/or videos looping 360 degrees. What software is used for this?

Wonder if this could happen based on something posted here?
The South Yorkshire man who was recently convicted for joking about bombing an airport on Twitter is now just one of many who have done the exact same thing.
Paul Chambers’s original tweet, “Robin Hood airport is closed. You’ve got a week and a bit to get your shit together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!!” was meant as a joke, but Judge Jacqueline Davis saw things differently. She thought the tweet was “menacing in its content,” dismissing Chambers’s appeal to the original sentence, a £1,000 fine.
Furthermore, Chambers has been ordered to pay an additional £2,000 to cover the legal bills, and lost his job as a financial manager as a consequence of his arrest. Initially, it looked like Chambers might be charged under bomb hoax and anti-terrorism legislation. However, according to The Guardian, Chambers was instead charged using a law that was aimed at nuisance calls. This law dates back to the 1930s.
How to switch jobs? Oct 19, 10, 10:05 p.m.
I work for a large company who has a variety of different creative partners for advertising, interactive, email, social, etc. Many of these partners have great full time opportunities that interest me - how should I go about applying for these gigs? Should I contact the people I work with or should I apply directly through the job board/corporate site?
Part of me feels odd about going down this road - what if someone finds out at my company, what if the person I deal with finds out, etc.

Artist/Designer Friend in Prison Aug 11, 10, 8:13 p.m.
A good friend of mine from college, who I lost touch with over the last 5 years or so was recently sentenced to 5 years in prison for getting caught selling guns while on probation for another felony drug charge. This dude is one of the most creative guys I've ever met and such a force - great sense of humor, gift of gab, and he's a hustler. I can't condone his actions but a friend is a friend and we've recently been communicating through letters and email (yeah, email in prison, weird.) This guy could have been a CD or owned his own company but he started running with some shady dudes and started making cash, lots of cash, doing some off color things.
He's involved in a welding class where he's all psyched about learning TIG and starting to do creative stuff again. His illustration and sculpture work was amazing, he has such a unique style and I'm going out to visit him in a couple of weeks and was wondering if you guys had any ideas of what I could do for him to lift his spirits or initiate some sort of creative project that we could collaborate on to occupy his time. I have some ideas but wondered if anyone here could suggest something cool, different, or interesting.
I'd like to set him up with a website or something to post his work that he's been sending by mail and there are a few of us who are working on a collaborative illustration but you know how that goes, gets old quick.

Client Project Cancellation Feb 14, 10, 6:14 p.m.
Alright, this is gonna be a long one but I need advice. I have a website client that I've been working on a project with for 8 months. It's a website project with a custom CMS, eCommerce, javascript galleries, etc. We signed a contract stating a variety of details regarding copyright, payment, authorship credit, cancellation, etc.
So, this project has been dragging on for some time due to my hectic schedule and the client making a ton of revisions on the wireframe phase, the design phase, and we're now in development phase. I've been very transparent with her about delays but of course there were times when I went dark on her for 2+ weeks while the site was being designed. She now wants to cancel the project and wants a third of her deposit back.
My contract states "In the event of cancellation by the Client for any reason before the Designs are turned in 100% of the the fee shall be paid by the Client. Also, in the event of cancellation, the Designer shall own all rights in the Design including authorship credit and all rights in sketches, comps, or other preliminary materials. She also asked for me not to display this design on my personal website.
So my question is whether I should fight her for my deposit or just say fuck it and walk away? She's been very litigious with her comments recently stating "If this is unacceptable to you, please let me know and my lawyer will be in touch with you." Part of me feels like I'm entitled to the deposit not to mention the fact that I have to now pay my developer for time spent on a dead project which will come out of my project.
I'm always the guy who says "fight for your project and your rights as a designer if shit goes south" but that this point I'm almost fine with just walking away.
Thoughts - fight or walk?
