Flash mp3 player Nov 26, 08, 10:41 a.m.
Anyone know of a good flash based mp3 player similar to the one the use on myspace. I use the JW player for flash video. It can also be used for mp3's but I don't need the screen part of it. Just a player and a playlist.
potluck appreciation day Nov 25, 08, 8:22 a.m.
otherwise known as: everyone bring a dish to work and pig out day. I made a pumpkin roll, it's delicious. Generally, I'm very health conscious when eating, but today is pig out today. oh yeah!
Coaster Screen Printer Nov 6, 08, 10:44 a.m.
I need to get some drink coasters printed on. Anyone know anywhere good in the US? Other than my local screen printing shop that is.
Netscape 4.x ??? Oct 21, 08, 6:47 a.m.
I'm reading this article on A List Apart about CSS: http://www.alistapart.com/articl…
It's a good article, but they reference the netscape 4.x browser like it's still relevant. The website I'm currently working on is geared towards the 50+ crowd and the percentage of users using netscape is %.14. To top it off, the netscape version is 7.1 or 7.2. %0 use netscape 4.xx. So, why would anyone give 2 shits about Netscape 4.xx (or IE 5 for that matter).
Canadian Grandprix Dropped Oct 7, 08, 6:56 a.m.
http://www.formula1.com/news/hea…
Mother fuckers!!!!
This is utter bullshit. First the US Grand Prix is dropped and then the Canadian. What a bunch of twats. I'd like to kick Bernie Ecclestone right in the nuts. I was looking forward to going to Montreal next summer too. Oh, but Spain gets 2 races. Even if Formula isn't as popular in North America as Europe, there are still a lot of fans here.
Vacation Days Sep 25, 08, 1:06 p.m.
...are awesome. I walked 27 holes though...nap time.
QBN t-shirt Sep 24, 08, 8:02 a.m.
I'd like one or two. An official qbn person should get some printed. You can pre-order me 2.
build an iphone Sep 3, 08, 5:38 a.m.
I was at another forum and saw a post about someone selling iphone parts. I then started to consider maybe assembling one for fun from parts. I guess getting to OS would probably be pretty tough. Other than that, anyone think it's possible?
newstoday lol Aug 17, 08, 5:15 p.m.
I just started typing newstoday in to the url field instead of qbn.
It's been a crazy weekend.
Quick opinion needed Aug 15, 08, 1:22 p.m.
I'm off for the day in 10 min.
Do I: go skateboard 5 min away or go play 9 holes about 20 min away(only $5 to walk 9)?
quick!
rfactor Jun 25, 08, 11:18 a.m.
Anyone on here play rfactor racing sim online. Specifically the F1 version? You can paint different skins for the cars in photoshop. I just ordered it and can't wait to go and start working on paint jobs.
Apparently you can make your own tracks in 3dmax as well. It's more involved than painting skins but, sounds very interesting.
josef muller brockman prints Jun 22, 08, 7:24 p.m.
Anyone know of a good source for Josef Muller Brockman reprints? I've been trying to hunt some down but, haven't had any luck. Specifically, I'd like the beethoven print.
Thanks in advance.
Skateboarding Jun 11, 08, 12:30 p.m.
Skateboarding is pretty much more awesome than anything. Even girls. Well....yep girls too. Anyone else share my thoughts on the subject?
eh....I guess skateboarding and girls are tied. A girl you just met and have been with for a month or so though. Anything over 6 months, no way. Skateboarding wins.
Fireworks? May 29, 08, 9:59 a.m.
Seriously...why is Adobe still developing this program? Their Adobe Labs site boasts the title "Rapidly Prototype and Design for the Web". Personally, I don't prototype web sites as much as others as my work is mainly print but, photoshop works great to make comps or just a photoshop/css/html combo as you were designing a site and not just a comp. Also, they go on to feature their CSS and image export capabilities. Would you really want Fireworks writing your CSS? I wouldn't. I'm not sure how exporting images is so awesome either. Photoshop handles that quite well already.
Maybe this is geared towards amateurish designers or coders. Not sure. I always thought they were phasing out Fireworks
Looking for a site. Please help. Apr 4, 08, 9:27 a.m.
I'm looking for a company's portfolio site. Maybe you've seen it and know what it is. The portfolio has a lot of car ads. Mainly BMW, Audi, Lexus and what not.
The ads are all heavily photoshopped and absolutely brilliant. Each piece shows a timeline of how the piece was created. For instance, you have a car on a street, then they adjust lighting and remove some signs, then maybe the add some people, then ad some snow or something. I suppose in all there's 20 steps or so for each piece. They all have that HDRI look going on as well.
Anyways, many thanks to anyone that may know this site off hand.
Formula 1...thoughts for season Mar 20, 08, 12:31 p.m.
After the opener in Australia this past weekend, this season looks to be very exciting. With a standard ECU in place, a loss of traction control and engine braking the drivers actually have to drive the cars (what a concept!). People were all over the place, the Ferrari boys didn't finish along with over half of the field! That race was easily the most exciting race in the last few years. I can't wait for this weekend's race.
php on Mac? Jan 16, 08, 6:03 a.m.
so, I'm just about ready to make my switch to the Apple Mac. I really do like the operating system have wanted to do this for some time (it's just so shiny). The only thing holding me back is the development side of things. I know(I think) it comes with Apache web server. But, installing php seems to be a lot more involved from what I've read and I haven't even looked into getting mysql running let alone all the extensions I need like CURL, GD, etc.
Anyways, just looking to see if anyone does any php scripting on their Macs and how it compares to a Windoze enviornment.
Thanks!
