hi all, I need some inspiration for a nice headline / display font. what’s your current favourite?

specifically I am looking for a font for the design of a gaming related event – so something constructed, technical, maybe monospaced would be appropriate.

hey all, I‘m working with the envelope distort tool (rectangular grid/envelope mesh) in Illustrator.
Is there a possibility to work with straight lines instead of curves? Imagine the pic posted below, but without the handles on the points... can I somehow delete the handles like I could on a normal path so it would go from curved to straight?

I am looking for examples of websites with a solid, flat look, i.e. no dropshadow, no gradients, not glossy, big elements, no fake textures, no big photos, a limited colour palette etc.

I was assigned to set a book which consists of two pretty much seperate parts (book in a book, kind of). The author and the publisher want me to use two different fonts for the two parts. For the first part I‘d like to use a pretty common body type, like Garamond or Bembo. Now I need a suggestion for the second font, should be serif, needs to be distinct but not too fancy... any help very much appreciated...

hey! I am assigned to exchange a static image with a slideshow on a website.
Problem is, that I do mostly print and know hardly anything about programming... So, what I need is a simple lightweight slideshow, 5 or 6 images fading into each other in an endless loop, (all this inside a div) and two controls (prev) and (next). Nothing more, but also nothing less. Believe me, I searched the web, tons of stuff out there, but nothing exactly what I was looking for. Oh, and I used the filter. Hope you guys can help me out!

Did anyone ever had a problem because of showing unfinished work here? I mean, if a client sees a thread with his logo in it, given to the public to be criticized (before official launch), he might be pissed... might even be a legal issue... what do you think?
