It needs to be easy to get to so Manhattan or along the L train in Brooklyn would be ideal.

The office (a room - no desk shares) needs to lock-up and have space for at least 3 desks.

I was in market for a scooter but then one day i stumbled on this store in Soho where i test drove one of their scooter-looking electric bikes. I couldn't find much reviews online so it was a bit of a gamble to shell out $1900... I have about ten 500GB external drives with data. Having to power them all on and wait for all them to recognize the interface if i daisy-link them takes forever and sometimes one of the drives choses not to cooperate that day and not turn on which screws me up as i can't simply yank it from the chain.

I was thinking of either getting a server with 10 TB of storage and being forced to transfer all that date to the server or pulling the drives from encosuers (Western Digital MyBooks) and simply getting some kind of drive-bay based server and simply inserting all the drives in those bays so they are on all the time.

Am i on the right track? What other solutions do you guys suggest?

I have a bunch (like 150) of images that need to go through back and forth revisions between the illustrator and the client. I don't want to deal with back and forth sending through an attachemnet through email rather i would want the images to be on some server so the changes can be seen as they occur.

I only shot the film so you can only judge the look (and that through a fuzzy glasses as the post - including color correction - was grossly underfunded).

My girl is moving in and we'll have 5 computers that i want to network.

1 PC desktop acting as server with 10 1GB drives attached (i do video thus the silliness)
1 PC (for effects/sound etc)
1 PC laptop
1 Mac desktop (also for video editing)
1 Mac (sometimes for video editing)

Two questions:
How to best network all those machines?
What's the cheapest solution for the server computer?
