i was thinking about doing a print on these small, pre-constructed cardboard boxes i have (about the size of a few cassette tapes stacked) that i'm planning on gifting for some people, and i was wondering if anybody had any ideas about what the best method would be... looking to be fairly low cost, so any suggestions would be much appreciated

wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best route i should take if i need to set-up a site that has a functioning cms, but also a place for users to manage and control their subscriptions to a print publication... was thinking about drupal or joomla with loads of extensions, but wasn't sure. anybody have any ideas?

anybody have any experience doing this? i wanted to prototype some figures i'm working on in wood, and was thinking balsa might be the easiest way to go. any thoughts, is there something better?

once constructed, i'd probably just paint in acrylic.

i create e-proofs on a daily basis, using a standard template i created in Illustrator, and dynamic fields in Acrobat which I use to enter client and job information.

Currently, if I need to create a new e-proof, I edit the template in Illustrator, add the appropriate garment template and paste in the artwork. This works fine, although it's somewhat cumbersome, especially if I have to edit it afterwards, as editing an exisiting PDF in Illustrator, a lot of the objects are randomly distributed over different groups with seemingly no rhyme or reason.

If anyone else but me edits these e-proofs, things get somewhat complicated. Does anyone do anything similar? I'm looking for suggestions on how to streamline this process a little bit.

i'm looking to severely downsize and upgrade my current printer and scanner situation, so i was going to get an all-in-one deal... does anybody have any recommendations? Mainly i just need something that'll do pretty decent resolution scans as well as decent printing, including one-off proofs or stuff for the portfolio (but not solely dedicated to that kinda stuff)... has anyone had any luck with any?

My friend gave me a pc laptop running Vista. I am typically Apple centric, but i'm going to fix this up anyway, can someone tell me what the best solutions for Antivirus or Anti-Spyware software are these days? I used to use AVG and Spybot/Ad-Aware on my old PC work computer but i'm not sure if those are still the best...

Basically for most of them there would need to be multiple user accounts for editing. Calendar module for some, etc. Any ideas?
