Ok. I'm going to rant, you've been warned... this comes after another stupid, oversize tip I have been bullied into paying. I want back-up. Although this might be the right place to come...

Frankly (and I have been there) if you don't like the pay that your employer gives you, quit the fucking job already. It's a prime example of stupidity on the part of civil society that people in the catering industry expect tips. What's worse, they expect ME to give it to them. What for? What justifiable point is there? A restaurant pays it's staff in return for them making sure that orders are correct, on time, and special requests are honored... This is the job. It might be a shite job, but that's the fucking deal, that's the basis of capitalism. You get money, in return for doing something you don't want to do. Why should the punters pay for this twice?! The debate always comes down to same shit too... and I'll wager it will again.

"It's a hard job and they don't get paid well....." BooHoo.

QUIT THE JOB.

My boss takes about 10 weeks holiday a year, and has a holiday home in fucking florida....

I don't ask for tips. Nurses don't ask for tips and their job is far more worthy, and they get paid fuck all too. Maybe these waiters and waitresses can tip the nurse after they remove my spoon from their ass.

Furthermore, if "service" isn't included, just what part of the job are they being for exactly?

One of my companies clients is being "talked to" by a major third-party site developer, who says the site we have produced is not up to speed with current legislation because we haven't catered for the visually impaired, deaf etc....

They say if they are visually impaired then there would be an option that made all of the text a bigger font. If they are colour blind then the charts will change colours and if they are deaf then there might be voice recognition.

For a standard plc company - this is too much IMO.

And why, if deaf then there might be voice recognition? WTF? Surely they mean blind.

How would you react to this..? Whilst trying to keep the client?
