I'm on the hunt for some good people (based in London/UK) to approach for some usability/UI advice.

I've got lists of web/graphic design agencies coming out of my ears, but these aren't the people I'm looking for. I guess I'm looking for "information architects" - but my limited experience of them has been that they're mostly a bunch of charlatans.

Any pointers?

It's an interesting task they have to make a visual ad like that appear to be "hi definition" on my old CRT Aiwa television. Yet it seems to work.

So I'm planning a trip to Madagascar. Just rang my doctors to arrange an appointment to get about 7 different vaccinations and some anti-malarial drugs. The lady talked me through a few different malaria drugs and their side effects.

Fine.

Appointment at 9.30 on the 1st - fine.

Nurse's name will be Valerie. Except - when I'm writing this into my calendar app - I don't know how to spell "Valerie" - so I just stick in "valarie" and right-click it to get a spell-check. What's the first suggestion?

Anyone watch this last night?

For someone who doesn't know much about Islam, it explained a lot - probably pointing out the obvious to some though. The contrast of life in Cairo today from 30 years ago was pretty nuts. I also liked the revelation that paradise might not actually consist of 72 virgins - rather you simply get a bunch of grapes depending on your translation of the text.

I'm also now more terrified of religion in general. It seems to me this shit is made up as we go along - and if the preachers of the The Qur'an are doing it - I'm fairly certain that everyone else is at it too.
