OK first of all am not nuts. The wife and i were walking our friends dogs on sunday around 730pm (in Burbank, CA), when she said "hey whats that?" so i look up and there is this orange ball in the sky, sloooowly moving towards us. I thought it was a plane cause we are near the airport, but it was moving in a odd way, wobbling left and right and slowing up and speeding up. Then it just stopped in the sky and stayed there for about 30 seconds, when it just started to fade away slowly. all this lasted like 1-2 minutes. I know im setting up myself up for ridicule, but did anyone else see it?

dont let all these PC people tell you not to get a Mac, see, they dont own one and have no idea what a pleasure it is to use one. in your (our) filed, time=money, so while you are there trying to fix things, i am actually working. while you are worried about whatever new virus is out there, im working. while your worried about trojan this and spyware that, guess what? i am working. see, you pay more up front, get a cool looking machine that works, and you wont pay for it later. its a investment. if you can, take the hit. you monitors should work just fine and so should your drive. they are mostly off the shelf parts. i have a die hard PC friend who bought his G5 a few weeks ago and swore off PC's. anyways, not all computers are problems free, Macs have their own problems but not no where near the extent of PC's. end of rant....

So, tomorrow we got this guy coming buy trying to sell us on a T1 line. 1.5meg each way. Its a pretty good deal, bundling phone, cell, hosting, line, etc etc. Almost what we are paying now with all services separate. We have 6 people in the office, a FTP server so clients can up/down their jobs. It doesn't get much action thought. Right now we have 5meg down and 786k up. Happy with it. Is there a reason i should get the T1? I know its a direct line and all that cool stuff, but it would be alot slower than what i have now, right?

i will be doing work for a non profit, and i heard you can get a voucher or something that you can use on your taxes. a client told me that if i normally charge XXXX.XX, i can get a voucher for that $ and use it towards a tax deduction. does anyone know how this works?(US)

so my idiot client registered his domain 5 years ago and cant remember with who, and now he wants to change his hosting. i need to change the NS on his registrar but no idea who it is, and a whois is not helping, just displays current NS and contact info. does anyone know how to find where a domain was registered?

Can someone point me to a PHP based calendar that i can incorporate into a site? the only 2 requirements i need are:
1- To create different events based on a color code and create a legend based on the color codes.
2- clean. ive looked everywhere and most of them are soooo crappy windows98 looking.

this would be perfect but it does not let you create calendars unless u use ical or similar, i need it to be web based.
