Well, the Tyra Banks thread kind of leads to this thread...

So let's hear em.

Tattoos

Those of you who DO NOT have any, but have wondered if you would ever get one, what would you get?

My GF and I were talking about this last night, and I figured it might be cool to have a full sleeve of patterned Victorian wallpaper, or cartographic lines of elevations.

Not that I would ever do that, just thought it would be interesting and not-the-norm.

Anything you've thought of?

Hurricane Katrina

Anyone down there in New Orleans or surrounding cities?

Keep safe, looks like it's going to be a terrible one.

Dear Mr. President...

What would you write to Bush? What would you ask?

I have this all cued up and ready to go by email:

"Dear George W. Bush,

Sometimes I just zone out for no good reason that I can come up with. Could it be the weather, or am I finally too mesmerized with Bryan Boytano? He might have placed a hex on me, you know.

In any event, have you ever had friends with problems like these?

Your citizen,

Solaris Moonskin"

Favorite Meat?

What's your favorite meat?

Right now I'm engrossed in a delicious hot toasted Reuben sandwich, thus, corned beef is reminding me that it is at the top of the charts.

Josh Davis Article

Forgetting yesterday's thread on the same topic...

http://www.apple.com/pro/profile…

I thought this was a really good read actually. I didn't know he had a site up to sort of explain how he does all the generative artwork, but the examples are cool, makes me wish I were using Flash as much as I used to (more like at all).

http://workshop.joshuadavis.com/…

Interesting how he says he uses the Mac Mini for this stuff. I'm really curious about the actual load of those flash files on the Mini and how that compares to, say, a huge PS file on a PC.

Latest Ego Strokes?

It's OK, we're all friends, you can go ahead and admit it.

Anything happened lately that just made you go "Yesssssssssss" just as Napoleon Dynamite does when he guesses the problems with the milk?

I need some mega-amusement today.

Please share stories about roommate fights, them getting into trouble, horrible girlfriends/boyfriends of theirs, the things they did that made you mad or grossed out.

Long plane flights

What's the longest flight you've ever taken? Take any drugs to sleep most of the way? Get bored? ipod run out of juice?

As I've told some of you, I'm going to Tokyo in July, as in Chicago - Tokyo, 13 hour nonstop flight...

kind of feel like a kid - totally new experience and really anxious, wondering if when it's all said and done I'll be like "wow, that was a long time on a plane."

Any stories?

Not In Real Life?

My girlfriend and I were talking the other night about things on TV that you never actually see in real life, like the following:

Credit card cut in half if declined at a restaurant.

Chalk outline around murder victim.

Food put into duck shaped aluminum foil if taking it home from restaurant.

Can you think of other things?

2007 New Music

What's rockin' in your ipods and stereos?

We're only 1/4 done with this year and already some great albums so far:

Arctic Monkeys - Favorite Worst Nightmare: Just as addictive and catchy as their first album, more technical, vocals are great, guitars are excellent.

NIN - Year Zero: blowing me away from start to finish

Maximo Park - Our Earthly Pleasures: Had a few solid listens and probably will be one of my 5 favs. of the year.

The Klaxons, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, Andrew Bird, Explosions In The Sky, Bloc Party, damn, there are 8 more months in the year, if they are as good as the first four it's going to be a good good year.

F U Rudy Giuliani

"MANCHESTER, N.H. - - Rudy Giuliani said if a Democrat is elected president in 2008, America will be at risk for another terrorist attack on the scale of Sept. 11, 2001.

But if a Republican is elected, he said, especially if it is him, terrorist attacks can be anticipated and stopped."

Jesus Christ... shouldn't being an ignorant, insane prick be one of those things that prevents you from thinking you can run for president? What a total idiot.

WTF SOTU?

I've read at least three places today that the State Of The Union speech was to take place at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Now it's 9:00 p.m. EST I guess.

That president thinks it all revolves around him. That, or he's watching American Idol.

Strange Obsessions?

Do you have any?

--
I don't throw away magazines, and right now I'm worrying about finding an issue of GQ at home that lists the stores a certain suit is sold. I could just as easily find the suit on the web, but that I will have to look for the magazine for the store listing really bugs me.

But I never throw away magazines. I have this feeling that in 20 years time they're going to be personally valuable. I envisioned creating a list in Excel years ago that I would list all the magazines I bought each month, and do sub-lists of what was important, should I need to reference it in the future.

Tell me I'm not alone...
