i am embarrassed. so many damn threads about font conversion, and yet, here i am...(ps filter is shit. oh wait, everyone knows that already.

it's been a long while since i have had to convert a mac font to pc (honestly, i thought most fonts were cross-fucking-platform! but apparently some are still not. why the hell not?!), but i have a font that i need to use, and am tired of dl'ing and running programs like CrossFont, which claim they are free based on this pile of a site http://www.astahost.com/info.php…

at any rate, does anyone want to help me out with a conversion? i'm sorry for the lame request. I am running Extensis Suticase and it just will not recognize this F'ingFont!

well actually, power paragliding. anyone ever tried it? i know j_red is an avid paraglider...but don't know of anyone else on this site.

The wife surprised me with an early birthday present. I've been wanting to go paragliding for years!! so badass!

I can't wait to set up some more lessons. the bad thing about it is that the equipment is probably going to be over $5k!! (for the paragliding stuff, not power paragliding)...so not sure if i will ever own my own stuff. we'll see though :)

hypothetical question:
if i was to buy a <50cc scooter here in minneapolis (which basically means pretty small (aout 30mph top speed) and i can park it up on sidewalks and lock it up like a bike)) would it really be:
1)more-or-less as safe as riding a bike (yeah i realize that ain't that safe, but still)?
2)will it actually be faster than the subway?
3) convenient to park and lock (especially if we live in the not-so-nice parts, on the 8th floor, etc. etc.)
4) worth bringing there in the first place? or should i just bring my bike and my walking shoes...and of course my subway pass.

this is quite possibly a really stupid question, but would buying a polarized lens filter eliminate glass reflection? example: i am sitting on the bus, and i want to shoot something that is outside. a polarized filter would eliminate glare/reflection of me and the inside of the bus?

i happened to get sick as a dog 12 hours before the 12 hour flight back to the states. my ears are still plugged up 13 hours later, and i am typing this all hopped up on cold meds, sleep meds, and crack meds...
