last night....out of the blue I got an IM from someone who said they found me in the member directory of aol....NO I DONT USE AOL... it was from a long time ago....but I used it for email backup...anyway this is not the point....

so anyway the chic lives near me.... she is a major at FIT...she is my age...sent me a picture is cute....likes the same teams I like....I mean I could go on and on......

so..... I hate this taboo of meeting a chic online...but considering all of the above and other such things which I choose not to disclose at this time....

I wont go into a rant about this so I will just say what we are doing...

actually this is what I came up with....for about a week now people have told me just donate....etc...I think we need to do more

either way they are doing a book that will donate proceeds to charity...

I have a much easier idea that won't take that long and really we only need a few things

- a printing company willing to donate 5,000 or more posters
- a few awesome designs
- unmetered bandwidth
- a way to collect the money and donate it to charity (thinking paypal but that could get messy)

please help....you are all talented individuals and I believe that we can help...

This is a MSG Board. Leah has been here for a long time and she has never done anyone any wrong.

So what if she is not an practising designer?? Since when design was suppose dot be closed off? NOR is PVN exclusive to design related threads. Just take a look around. There are a variety of topics being discussed and there is a lot of random disposable threads.

But thats the nature of things, WE ALL ENGAGE IN IT. So why single out Leah?

I've been out of the loop fo a while and i come back all i see is everyone trying to up one another. The old timers (jaane, jevad..et all) don't even post most of the time.

Everyone is becoming bitter. Fuck that shit.

This is supposed to be our playground. To meet new people who are interested in design and culture. We argue, get angry and move on. But we learn as well. I've gotten good feedback on my design from people on here. People on here have made me laugh and made me angry.

But i've never wished that anyone would leave or be attacked. There have been people who are just simple morons and they have been dealt with quickly and rightly.

Leah on the other hand is a fun girl who doesnt deserve all this crap. I really hope she doesnt feel she needs to leave this thread or personally feel insulted.

ok...I know I posted one page folios thread awhile ago...

but quickly...i had mentioned to my client to do a long one pg....so they wanted examples...

they are a company that produces menuboards...and since I really dont want to design many many pgs...I just want to do it like a one pg folio and they agreed...

the problem is I dont want to point them to designer folios.... I was looking at folios where people dont charge $500 for a site... I need the high quality designer/studios out there that charge high prices for what they do....

I don't want to give them a folio of someone who is undercutting everyone and bringing down our worth....I am having enough problems getting the money they owe me out of them...and them asking me why can't I add more stuff for a second site that they never contracted....and why I charge what I charge...

so if you have businesses that have long one pg folios or design studios that are charging a minimum of 10k per site.... it would be appreciated...
