Sat in the paint section for 1 hour @ Home Depot today waiting for someone to help and it never came.

Then I see a big official piece of paper saying "Order your Behr paint colors online at the Home Depot website, then pick up the next day!"

Success!... I thought.

I've spent 30 minutes rummaging through HD's website and I can't find ANY sort of service on it that allows you to order your paint colors online and pick them up the next day.

Was this some sort of sick, disgusting lie?

It's friday morning, studio is half empty, and we have this kid here who looks like this:

sitting on his laptop, with no headphones, watching some clip on Youtube from the Jackass movie (yes, 6 years old) where they blast airhorns every 5 seconds.. and he's looped it about 8 times. Sitting there, sniveling and giggling as it loops over and over again.

Looking for an illustrator (again), fairly certain his name begins with Sam, he's got a pretty dark & fascinating style. I think some of the pieces included wolves.. blood... meh, honestly I can't remember anything specific, but he used a limited selective color palette as well.

Last year I bought Flushd.com, hoping to develop an app that finds the best (cleanest/nicest/coolest/strange… public bathrooms anywhere and launch in NYC. All user-submission-driven, whatever. Had a whole neat naming convention going too.

Bathrooms would be called "spots". People seek them out, photograph them, submit via cellphone, whatever. Then users can "spot" (rate up) or "squat" them (rate down). Squat meaning.. you wouldn't want your ass to ever touch the shit.

...Unfortunately, I didn't work fast enough on it (fulltime priorities) and today I get slammed by this:

Something tells me, this guy is secretly way more interesting than the kid with blue hair at the coffee bar.

This is fucking horrible, and yet.. I don't know what's worse. The fact that a guy stabbed a guy to death and beheaded him... or that he did it on a BUS FULL OF FUCKING PEOPLE WHO DID NOTHING TO STOP HIM.

Seriously this makes me sick to my stomach.

Somehow, from the moment the victim was stabbed to his beheading, everyone and the driver had time to panic, yell, scream, pull the bus over, flee en masse, and THEN decide "let's go back and see what happened!"

What happened?

Recurring Finder problem.. Jul 29, 08, 9:14 a.m.

I'm running an OSX 10.4.11 machine (netbooted.. so it can't be updated) and I occasionally run into this problem that drives me insane..

Randomly while using the system, Finder will simply stop accepting keystrokes & shortcuts. Meaning if I right click and create a new folder, I can't change its name or type in anything. I can't use CMD+copy/paste/etc, nothing. In fact, it's like Finder just completely stops recognizing the keyboard.

Nothing else is affected by this on the system (no application issues, etc) -- it only pertains to the desktop & finder (system related shit).

Any ideas wtf the problem is? The only way I can get around this right now is by rebooting the machine whenever the problem occurs, which obviously..sucks.
