I am in San Fran Next week to help my friend with his start up for 10 days but whilst I was there I wanted to catch up with a couple of local studios there and get a feel for the local industry...mostly looking a agencies that are multi disciplinary web/print/branding etc.... can you guys give us a quick list of the best ones out there?

alot of people are redesigning their sites in html because it easier for SEO...you can SEO in flash but its a bit of a process....my thought on this do I want the sort of clients that are finding me via a search engine...or would I rather our website be a site thats just an extension of our folio online that are clients can look at that we have gotten via referrals...focus on the site having more interesting visual content...

do I want a client that has to go to google that types in "webdesign".. I am typing in web design in google I get a list of sites that are design studios in india or butt ugly sites that have stupid amounts of copy and meaningless blogs on their site for SEO...

From my experience the clients we have gotten via passing traffic have been painful clients with no budgets.

Is good design getting lost in SEO what happen to less is more? the images should really be the key point....right??....thoughts?

maybe the answer is to focus on getting mentioned on other sites articles blogs externally from yours to boost SEO...rather then jeopardizing your aesthetics???

I am designing this packing job for a client where i need to show some isometric mock ups for a client...I have found the 3d effect built into illustrator to be clunky...I don't want to learn a whole 3d packas I just need to apply my designs to a 3d shape maping images on a cube..can any body recommend a mac plugin for this before I try it in photoshop

their cms looks slick...has any one build a commercial CMS this good for designers to adapt and resell to their clients...that flash cms is much responsive then any Flex CMS I have seen..the design is simple and adaptable...they should really commercialize their CMS.

I am from sydney....was just in the US recently got introduced to the famous Colt 45s....I heard its a ghetto beer....but I dig the taste we don't have malt beer at home...gets you where you want to be after two....whats the general conception on them?
