So here is the deal. I work as a freelance designer in sydney...i have my own studio and a handful of clients that gets me by and hire other contractors when I get more jobs then I can handle...the work is O.K but I feel I need to be inspired....local scene here is really adversing focused not design agency focused the industry is too small and there is only a handful of good design studios that wold expect you to work for peanuts...but thats another story

I have been seeing this girl for a year an a half...I am pretty sure i want to marry her..first chick in a long time I am sure about...I really do love her....... but we are at different stages of life....just before I met her I won a green card to the US lottery and i guess my dream was to work for 2 years in NYC for an experience...I am 30 years old she is 23....she just found out she might get in to medicine in canberra 4 hour drive from me....she doesn't know if she should take it...but I don't want her resenting me if she doesn't....I don't think I would move there as canberra is kind of a dead city and it would effect our relationship....So do I ditch the girl and move to nyc and try my luck there...even though this could be the love of my life....or stick around and try do the long distance thing seeing here every 2 weeks for the next 4 years and stay in sydney with my average job or move in to adversting...obviously NYC is a dream but not enough to resent her for making me stay though....

on another note can you guys send me some links to brand/design (across media) focused agencies based in NY I don't want to work in advertising doing banner campaigns i NY...places similar to method.com and hyperakt design group
