this should be pretty simple for someone who knows javascript pretty good.

im looking to change the format of a javascript clock to display as a 12hr clock, not a 24 hr clock. you can see exactly what i mean here:

as of now i am in the lower half of what others make in my same job description... im an art director at a small agency that is still considered a startup but we have multiple multi-million dollar clients - so i feel its kind of justified.

hey folks

the company i work for is littered with people who think low res jpgs magically become vector artwork just by re-naming the file ".eps" - does anyone know of a good, basic overview comparing and explaining the differences between vector and raster artwork?

i need it broken down like youre talking to a kid, these folks barely can grasp the concept of rgb vs. cmyk.

i would write it myself, but im afraid i would get too detailed and start losing people.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

ok...

my dreamweaver has been actin a fool lately!!

for starters, whenever i start the program up for the first time, and i start working in the default page it opens up when you first start the program, and then i go to save it, the extension is automatically ".php". now i know most of you are going to tell me to go to the preferences and change the new document default type to html, but it is already set to that. ive never changed it.

also, if i try to preview in browser (explorer) without saving the page, it either 1) goes to "www.business.com/index.asp" or 2) crashes explorer.

it only started acting this way in the past few weeks, and i havent changed anything that may cause it to start acting like this.

does anyone have any insight?

any help would be much appreciated...

ok... over the past few days... explorer has been acting funny - quitting at the most random times. mainly when im trying to view some intensive pages, but for the most part VERY randomly.

now i know alot of you are going to say "use safari" or "use netscape" (ok, maybe that one was a bit far fetched!!) but i really like i.e. (call me crazy). i think safari is too buggy right now, and all the other browsers make me feel a bit empty inside.

any suggestions as to why explorer might be quitting? any little 'cure-all' tricks i should know about?

btw, im in a dual 1ghz dp g4.

i need some html email advice here... a client has asked me to come up with a good html email for a disney vacation, and he wants a form with their info (name, phone, email, etc). any idea how i can get all this info submitted into an email that is returned back to the company?

ive used the "ez form mail" script before - without a hitch, but i havent been able to configure it for the html email...

any suggestions??

hi kids,

im looking to burn a director project on cd that will autorun on both a mac AND pc, without any kind of "exploring" or double-clicking. i got the pc stub and autorun files all set, and it works fine, but i would like to burn a hybrid disc so that way if a potential employer puts it in his machine, it will run no matter what.

the funniest thing is that ive been using macs for 10 years now, and i still dont know how to do it. i dont even own a pc and have that one figure out... lol

ive been told it needs to be done using toast, but i cant find any documentation on it.

can someone help me out? any info would be a big help!!

i was wondering how many of you actually begin the design process with storyboards? i have never been a big fan of them, i usually just open up pshop or illustrator and go...

maybe i dont like them because i am not much of a traditional artist, but i am wondering if they really help or are they just an extra step that can be avoided... or maybe if i did start using them, my work would turn out better.

cant figure this out for the life of me. i have a logo i need to use as an icon for a cd-r in os x... when i copy it and paste it into the "get info" box, it doesnt remember the transparency.

can anyone shed some light on this subject for me???
