We are redoing our stationery and getting everything foiled, no print. So we talk to a printer and ask them if its a job they'd do or if we should just talk to a finisher to handle the foiling. The printer (who we deal with on the bulk of our jobs) says deal direct with the finisher so I says ok, recommend one, but at first he just point blank refused.

I contact a finisher and get costs on foiling everything, ok, no worries.

I contact the paper suppliers in the uk (from whom we purchased all the stock for our last brochure) and they say that they now have a distributer in Ireland, go to them. So I do, but the irish distributer only sells to printers and they can't give me a quote. I can get samples but no prices and the finisher we are going to use deals directly with printers so doesn't deal with paper merchants.

So I've gotta contact the printer again, who isn't going to handle the job to order the paper, that'll get marked up so we can go to the finisher to do the job.
