Thoughts about this passage - About Self-promotion, Adrian Shaughnessy writes in How to be a graphic designer without loosing your soul (p121):

I've been cooking a project for a year, I'm seriously thinking about starting my own magazine it will be a test to see if it works out nicely. I've been doing magazines for many years, most of the local and state wide. I have connections and potential clients. Locally there are a bunch of magazine that are horribly designed and the contents are just way out of context for the market down here. I've been working on the layout, I'll probably finish in a couple of days. I'll let you guys know how worked out.

Any thoughts?
