went to their show the other night in vancouver. EPIC. i now understand what all the hype is about. i have always been a fan but wow. first time seeing them live and it was like witnessing a piece of musical history. anyone else had their face melted off and mind shatter into a million pieces at one of their shows?

i am looking to buy an apple laptop. i am not up on all the mac rumors and stuff so i just wanted to know from some of you if now is a stupid time to buy a laptop (ie, some new awesome one is about to come out?)

i am looking for a laptop cuz ill be doing a fair bit of travelling coming up - mainly use it for storing photos from photo shoots and a bit of graphic work (not too concerned about video) so can i get away with a macbook instead of a macbook pro?

i just want the smallest screen/cheapest apple laptop that will do the trick.

any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

A good friend of mine is hours away from being selected as one of the winners of Fashion Magazine's Reporter Search 2008. She and one other guy are in a dead heat to represent Vancouver!

canadian hip hop from '93 Jun 18, 08, 1:58 a.m.

Everybody that listens to hip hop likes to talk about 1993, but no one ever talks about what was coming out of Canada at the time (for good reason i guess). But something good did come out of Canada at that time - Rascalz.

I remember seeing Rascalz perform at a snowboard swapmeet at BC Place and Dedos and Zebroc (two b-boys that were part of the group at the time) were b-boying on stage, and Rahzel performed too! It was EPIC. Any Vancouverites here at that show? Probably not.

Ive uploaded a classic album by the Rascalz from 1993 called Really Livin. This one is like a diamond in the rough - Enjoy.

D&AD judges selected no pieces of Graphic Design for awards this year. (Yes, I realise this is 2008 - but this is awards for work created the previous year)

Interested to hear people's thoughts about this as the D&AD pencil awards were quite highly regarded (are they still?)

The Conveyor Belt snagged a bunch of photos of some clothes I helped design that showed as part of Vancouver's Fashion Week. I am primarily still doing graphics but it was cool to see things in an entirely different context, on a runway.
