So I ran into an old college friend of mine who I hadn't seen in years when I was out shopping tonight. The store was about to close, so we didn't have much time to chat. But, she did manage to say something I want help decoding:

She said that she married late in life, and she felt lucky that she had two children, who were both born after she turned 40. The part that stuck in my mind was when she said, "I married a friend. A friend. We have an arrangement. So, you know, things have been kind of a struggle in a lot of ways."

Now, I didn't have time to ask for elaboration, but what do you suppose that meant?

Do you know anyone who just has an absurd first name when you meet them for the first time, when they introduce themselves?

I had a guy in the keyboard department at Guitar Center (an obvious mistake in the first place) help me once, and he introduced himself as "Illogic."

"My name's Illogic, here's my card."

Another person who does sound at a music venue in Chicago introduced himself as "Awesome." Yes, "Awesome." We all kind of went, "wait, what?" He's a nice guy actually but still.

Ever known anyone like that?

Illustrator CMYK test / help. May 16, 08, 9:25 a.m.

Hello Folks, just wondering whether any one could do a test for me in regards to Illustrator CS3?

If I create a new document, in CMYK and the start to draw shapes,for example black on red, I get a weird jagged shape around the edge, sort of like a bitmap. It looks like this (zoomed in):

However if i then change the set the Document Colour Mode to RGB it disappears.
If it then switch back to CMYK it doesn't not return, until I start a new document...

Is it possible for any one to test whether this happens on their CS3?

Or Do i have some weird setting turned on?

Any help would be much appreciated...

had 1000 words of shite copy to write last night, ended up meeting some mates at the pub and got totally cut. woke up today at 11 ready to puke but instead dragged myself into the office.
