Can we stop calling throwing a guide every 5 or 10px a "grid"? That's not organizing your design, that's rounding your numbers.

Anyone got any good places online to buy home-office furniture (or places in NJ/PA/NY)? I'm not looking for the Ikea/cube farm look. I'm liking some of the stuff at Crate & Barrel, but not liking $800 for a (small) filing cabinet. For that price, I might as well make the stuff myself.

So, I finally finished redoing my site in AS3. Since it's more-or-less identical to the AS2 version except for the code, I was wondering if there was a good way to compare performance between the two (instead of saying, "I think that tween ran .05% smoother", "it used 1% less CPU", etc).

Any ideas?

Is there a nice way to do this? I've worked with the recruiter before, but the people I'm actually freelancing for can't seem to understand that I'm working for them outside of my 40-hour/week day job. It's no longer worth the headache.

What's currently the 'best' way of doing this? Last time I did it, I used the old LoadVars object & external PHP files. Right now, it seems like AMFPHP is fairly popular. Any other ways to do this? I'm primarily thinking low-maintenance, as this is for a freelance thing I have no control over server/deployment for.
