Bath, UK

Anyone live there or visited recently?

Looking to head down there for a few lazy days in a week or so... anyone got any good hotels under their sleeves?

Cheers.

Web-head question

Hi all.

We want to add a link to our website, which when clicked opens in a pop-up window with no navigation bar (essentially to hide the domain name).

How does one do that?

Thanks.

Ok, it's that time again...

Canon 1000D or Nikon D60?

Cheap waterproof watch

I'm going away this month and I want a cheap watch I can wear in the pool, in the sea... just generally fucking about enjoying myself.

Whilst this:

£10.

would be perfectly acceptable (cheap-ass Casio's are enjoying a retro fashion revival, believe it or not) it's pretty naff.

What would QBNs fashionista's wear whilst chillin' by the pool/trying to look cool on the beach?

Glasvegas

I'm not normally a fan of bands who's accents come though so strongly when they sing, but these fella's are an exception to that (old) rule.

What mobile phone?

I know this sort of thing has been discussed at length before, but couldn't find anything in filter.

My contract is nearly up so it's time to upgrade. I finally get to get rid of my shitty Nokia N95.

Thing is, all the phones that are around at the moment are a bit rubbish.

I was thinking of the Sony Ericsson C902:

But is had mixed reviews.

What are you guys and gals rocking at the moment and what is good/bad?

Oh yeah, I nearly forgot – I don't want an iPhone, so I'll ignore the first 3 or 4 posts which inevitably will recommend I get an iPhone.

Thanks.

Version Cue

I know its server based (although I have never used it) but does it work if someone is working remotely and accessing the server? VPN server access, that sort of thing?

Favourite chocolate bar?

I have just eaten a Twirl.

It amazes me how Cadbury can appear to change the taste of their chocolate just by changing the shape of it.

What are you lot 'om nom nom nom'ing' on when you need a brown sugary hit?

iTunes is shit

Yo.

I've bought some music from iTunes. Defected compilations, before you ask...

The are MP4, DRM... just dragged them outta iTunes, burnt a CD and my CDJ's (1000 Mk3s) won't read it.

Wank.

Tried burning them to a CD to re-import but iTunes won't let me.

Does the new version stop you doing that or am I being monumentally stupid?!

I need them for tonight - HELP!!!

Ex-employer loyalty?

I've been asked to do the photography for the conferences of my previous employer.

I left there 18 months ago.

I'm going to say no, that isn't wrong of me is it?

I mean, a favour is one thing – but 18 months? I think they need to realise I don't work for them anymore.

Why can't I drag a url into a folder in the bookmark bar?

Why don't bookmarks automatically sort themselves into alphabetical order?

Tell me.

Anyone got any links to agencies who have produced well designed corporate magazines/newsletters?

Paypal dispute

I sold a print to someone in the US. It was posted on the 10th June. They are saying it hasn't turned up and have filed a dispute with Paypal asking for a refund.

I have sent them the tracking number and checked it myself and it says:

"Your item, posted on 10/06/08 with reference RJxxxxxxxxxGB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."

So I'm guessing all is well, it's just taking longer than I (and they) thought.

eBay states on all listing that buyers are not responsible for delivery times.

Seems a little harsh to ask for a refund when I can and have proven that the item has been despatched.

Are they being unreasonable? Or is it me?
