Cheeseburger Bill Mar 8, 04, 2:16 p.m.
Yay. Finally a govt bill that makes sense.
"Congress is poised to tell fat Americans: You are what you eat and that's your fault — you can't blame the fast-food industry."
Managed Hosting Mar 5, 04, 1:59 p.m.
I've exhausted Google so help is appreciated.
I'm looking for a managed dedicated or virtual server host that can handle 2-3 terabytes of bandwidth a month on a Windows platform.
Any company suggestions? Thanx
What Song is This? Oct 10, 03, 1:52 p.m.
The background music at this URL. I swear I've heard something similar, but can't place it. Yupster? 8-bit?
New Flash Embed Oct 10, 03, 1:37 p.m.
I have looked around Macromedia for this new problem.
My question is this: Will we have to make java workarounds for EVERY swf file that is called onto the stage? For some sites that could be rewriting 40, 50, or 100 swf files! Is this a correct assumption? I hope not.
Govt Work Oct 8, 03, 9:37 p.m.
For those that are looking for new solid clients I have a suggestion: The US Govt.
Their evil and vile and they steal your taxes, but as a client they pay well and always have work to be done.
The process of application and contract procurement can take 6 months to 2 years ... but if you can wait it out it is worth it. Steady work is hard to come by for some so I thought I would share. Govt work alone keeps 2 of my people working 40 hours a week with a projected timeline of 6 months. Do the math. Good luck.
Las Vegas Sep 18, 03, 12:57 p.m.
I'm checking in with the office email right now .... with a cold drink in hand .... by the pool of the Mandelay Bay!
See you suckers next week.
Beatles sues Apple again Sep 12, 03, 4:22 p.m.
Beatles group sues Apple over trademark of the Apple.
Google Kazaa Sep 11, 03, 4:58 p.m.
Google has removed Kazaa from their site in response to legal threats from the RIAA!
Here is the text from google.
"In response to a complaint we received under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 10 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint for these removed results."
Manuals from hell Sep 11, 03, 11:31 a.m.
Dont you love it when software companies let their programmers write the manuals? Im sure that it makes sense to them but ...
"This section describes the numeric values representing the various attribute display style available in a readable manner. Ten enumerations are present with the final, enAttrDisplay_Custom being the starting point for your endeavor. You can add additional attributes, simply create additional pointed enumerations incrementing the value of the enumeration by one or more each time. You can replace the word custom with something too, just make sure you replace it in all locations and ensure that enumerations do no conflict with attributed detail data."
What the f........ speak engrish nerb boy.
Facts Missing Sep 3, 03, 1:49 p.m.
No footnotes? No sources? No links to surveys or findings of investigations? Wether I agree or not, I always like looking at findings based on published facts. If they would post/link those then it would be more solid.
PS Eyedropper Aug 19, 03, 5:59 a.m.
Silly problem here. I have somehow gotten my eyedropper to only choose the background color on selecting. I use it, it changes the background swatch. I flip them and then it does it again.
Govt Safety Cocoon Aug 18, 03, 2:51 a.m.
Cmon. Will there be a law passed for everything that "might" go wrong. Banning swords? I say let the morons kill themselves off. The US is similarly trying to protect everyone from anything that might possibly harm or insult anyone. People need to claim some personal responsibility and stop acting like weak little children. I dont need my govt outlawing pencils because I might poke my eye out.
Nice Spam Aug 4, 03, 12:34 p.m.
I just received an offer to graduate high school, protect my computer, and get a low cost mortgage all in one email. Progress is great. Long live the internet.
NTB Design Article Jul 29, 03, 9:36 a.m.
Although well written and well meaning, there is nothing in that article that is not taught in business school or basic managerial training. If the designers dont know how to stay ahead of the curve and please the client then let them fade away and find work elsewhere in a field more suited for them. The lack of formal business education is no excuse for ignorance of the business world and its processes ... design related or otherwise. There is no revolution needed, just smarter revolutionaries.
Whois Ultra Jul 24, 03, 12:23 p.m.
I use whois a few times a day and this little program is great. Thought I would pass it along.
Jojo Mayer Jul 24, 03, 11:18 a.m.
Good link Izaway. I never thought of analog drum and bass before.
Resume Donts Jul 22, 03, 11:13 a.m.
Having spent the last week looking over hundreds of resumes, here are some stupid things we have found.
1. Get a real email - dont list or
2. If you worked at a pizza place - dont list shredding cheese as an acomplishment
3. If the job is listed for $55k dont put $90k as a requirement
4. When sending your resume - dont send the one that you copied but forgot to change the name and address.
5. Make sure your phone is not disconnected
6. Your mommy is not a valid referral
