I've built a site in Joomla and have been asked will it work in China. I know there are probably 20 different spoken languages there. But is there an accepted computer language that covers most of them? Is Simplified Chinese what most sites use?

Quite limited but converts your photoshop layer effects and shit into css to copy and paste. Does corners, gradients, widths, drop shadows, colours etc.

Is there a firefox extension or something that checks a whole bunch of websites every morning for you and reports any that are down or running slow etc?

I've got about 25 websites I look after (not hosted by me) and sometimes sites go down and I won't notice for days! Granted they are all pretty small websites but still. Cheers.

When we submit designs for logos or websites, my boss always insists we write "Intellectual property of _______ " at the bottom of the page. I mean we haven't copyrighted anything so is there even any point in doing that? If someone rips it or uses it without paying would that line actually help us legally really?

I'm after a bit of advice please.
In your experience have you noticed inconsistency in Web stats by google analytics and your host/ecommerce stats? I don't know what to trust. Or a way of testing for real.

I've been using GA for years but have only just realised what the host stats say.

GA is giving me over a third less hits/visitors than say 1&1 tell me. GA says yesterday that 25 people visited my site. 1&1 says 68.

Any ideas?

So I suppose I'm gonna have to ask the same question myself ! I have some videos I need to play on iPad, iPhone, explorer, firefox, chrome, pc, mac etc. (not allowed youtube embeds)

Someone here suggested using h264 format and playing back with something like JWmedia player:

The last few months my dreamweaver is struggling with websites. Soooooooo slow!!!
Scolling up and down a page to edit text or anything takes up to 2 mins to load. Anyone with experience of this (solution)?

Happens on pages with no java/flash or anything interesting in it!

I have a login protected area on a joomla site.
It should let multiple people use the same details to see the content in that area.

Presently it is only allowing one person to login at a time with that un and pw.

Anybody know where the settings for allowing multiple users is??? Ta.

Can you picture a millionaire actually using a site like this? I'll hold my hand up and say this post is verging on spam as I designed it. But I fear for it's future.

Do millionaires actually search the internet for stuff? I can't picture the website working at all but hope it does as the client is a great payer and a nice guy.
