4am Food Jul 21, 11, 2:32 p.m.
It's 4am, you've been out drinking, OR you're pulling an all nighter, OR your body clock is completely out of whack..... and you wanna eat something.
In my scenario, I'm nowhere near any convenience/fast-food stores, have barely any kitchen equipment in this place, so I'm ashamedly going to admit chinese pot noodles (sic. ramen)
What do you chow down on?
iPhone stylus? Apr 17, 11, 10:22 p.m.
I'm using an iPhone app to identify Chinese characters, and drawing complex characters with your finger is really messy. Besides using other body parts, does anyone have any suggestions for some sort of stylus I can use? I know it's a capacitive screen and needs to conduct current to function, I'm just running out of common items to try.
Convert image to vector? Jan 16, 11, 5:18 a.m.
Hey all,
I was hoping to convert this image to a vector to muck around with it, but there are 2 problems. First, I'm travelling with a netbook with no Photoshop or Illustrator, and secondly this is the largest version of the image I can find.
Do you guys reckon it's even possible to convert something of this quality to a vector drawing?
All relevant advice appreciated!
Lunar Eclipse Dec 20, 10, 11:08 p.m.
Who's staying up to watch it?
I'm in NYC right now, it's half-covered now, about 75-120 minutes 'til complete eclipse...
One-off mass mailout Jul 26, 10, 7:43 p.m.
A client of mine ran a competition a while back from which we collected about 400 email addresses (all consenting to receiving communication), and I'm looking for a mass mailer service, preferably in Australia. Can someone provide me with a recommendation?
I'd prefer advice to a google search, because half of them are probably blacklisted by Aussie ISPs.
Thanks everyone.
Intranet templates May 31, 10, 9:58 p.m.
Hi all,
A client without much funding needs to have a basic intranet setup with noticeboard, ability to attach documents, and varying levels of user access.
What's your favourite? I'm leaning towards a PHPBB or something similar, just want to know if you've seen something simpler...
Thanks all.
Apple Mail To Do List deleted! HELP! May 3, 10, 12:38 a.m.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to help out a client here and they've deleted his To Do list, and only has a really old backup, has this ever happened to anyone?
Any advice?
Help is much appreciated.

Buck's Party Ideas Mar 22, 10, 9:03 p.m.
I'm arranging one for my best mate in a month's time and I'm looking for any bizarre, funny or entertaining ideas that any of you may have encountered at other parties.
The one promise I made to the bride is that he will keep all of his facial hair, and have no visible scars, bruises or tattoos once we are done with him.

UFC 110 Feb 20, 10, 8:40 p.m.
Great fight card, great fights all round, I usually don't get to see the lightweight fights on UFC Wired, but George Sotiropoulos has a new fan after today, he's a technically brilliant Jiujitsu fighter and stand-up boxer.
Wanderlei vs Bisping is just about to start, I don't like Bisping but I reckon he's the stronger fighter right now.
I've also got my fingers crossed for Nogueira, he's an absolute legend.

New Zealanders Dec 22, 09, 5:21 p.m.
This explains New Zealanders to me in a nutshell, I love it:
Naked cyclists cop helmet warning
Two Kiwi men wearing nothing but their birthday suits have been issued with a warning for riding without protective head gear on a jaunt around a sleepy New Zealand seaside town.
Senior Constable Cathy Duder was patrolling Whangamata, a beach resort in the North Island, on a quiet Monday night when she came across the two nude men, both in their early 20s.
"They were more shocked than I was, trying to cover up their bits and pieces with their hands," Duder told AAP.
When asked for an explanation, the pair replied that "they wanted to experience total freedom".
"And I said to them `the way you're heading, you're going to experience total confinement'," the officer said, laughing.
She said the men appeared decidedly sober. "They didn't seem drunk at all. That's what worried me," she joked.
Duder issued them with a stern warning for not wearing helmets and then sent them directly home.

Just when you think you're having a crap day, you read the news and see something that puts life back in perspective for you. It's good to get a good kick up the ass like that every once in a while. This is what did it to me today:

Wronged death row inmate dies in crash
A FORMER US prison inmate who spent a decade on death row has died barely a month after being released from jail after a car accident, Texas police said.
Michael Toney, 43, died when he lost control of the car he was driving on a Texas road on Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Toney received a death sentence in 1999 for his conviction in a 1985 car bombing which left three people dead.
He maintained his innocence over the years and was finally freed after a key prosecution witness in the case recanted.
A Texas Appeals Court ultimately overturned Toney's conviction, ruling that prosecutors had improperly withheld evidence, and he finally won his freedom on September 2, barely a month before the fatal accident.
