Pantone Overseas May 17, 13, 1:35 p.m.

I am working on a project where we are sourcing products from Asia (China, Thailand and Vietnam).

The products are made with different colors of threads and we want very specific pantone colors for each string used. Most of the people Im talking too either don't know pantone or use the pantone website to get close (which of course is always off) or use their own color system.

I could of course send over a pantone book but they are expensive and we are sourcing from 20-30 different places.

My question is... Does anyone have any idea how I can create color sheet with 30-40 colors? Any other ideas how to communicate overseas about color? Do other countries use other color systems we could convert too that would make it easier?

this painting/print (ink on paper) at a local dealer/friend has been on my wishlist since i saw it last year, but it's priced well outside of what i should be spending on art.

they're trying to get rid of a lot of their stock and this is on the list. can anyone help identify the artist or origin perhaps?

WP Child Theme and @font face May 16, 13, 5:06 p.m.

Has anyone ever run into an issue with a WP child theme when trying to use @font-face for custom web fonts?

I'm working on one for the first time, and set up everything exactly as I did on my three other sites that just use the parent theme:

1. font files, and font stylesheet CSS in a folder at url.com/fonts
2. header.php properly references the @font-face stylesheet with an absolute url.
3. Literally copied the CSS from my other site that specifies font for certain elements.

In Firebug I can see the font-family declaration for the font, but it's grayed out and does not appear.

Just wondering if anyone has run into web font issues with a child theme. Thanks!

I actually made it a couple of years ago but just completely redesigned/recoded it last night. Haven't tested in many browsers. Will probably do that tonight. I'm such a lazy asshole when it comes to that and my own pet projects.
