We are redoing our site and I am cutting images...

Question is to retina or not?

Images double the size and thus double the load time...

I dont want to not retina for the norm to be retina in like 6 months and have to do the fucker all again... Your thoughts

I've lost all my daughter photos on iphone 5 after it broke unexpectedly today morning. I am totally broken by this fact. 7 m of her life everyday from the first day diapered.
I didn't keep them anywhere else.

Format OSX Lion Mar 28, 13, 5:05 a.m.

I need to format a OSX Lion Machine. As I read through my research, you just have to restart, hold  + R, go into Disk Utility, Erase Drive, and after that it will prompt you to reinstall the OS.
Anyone done it? Is there some other weird shit I should be aware of? I'd like to know!

I have 95% completed a website for a client. They payed 50% upfront. I am waiting on last few bits from them to complete then half a days training on using the CMS. It was started in Jan and its nearly April. I asked the client if I could invoice 50% of the remaining amount with final bit due on going live. He says he would rather wait!
What would you do here? I sent a slightly annoyed email. I have a v.basic contract stating 50% at start and 50% at completion but as he is being so slow and they are happy with the work I thought they would at least be a little flexible.
Thoughts please?

Ive been using a piece of high quality textured cover stock on my Intuos5, cut to the size of the tablet area, and my fucking god it is so nice.

Its always the perfect temperature on my hand, even on a hot day (where the smooth surface would normally get damp / overly 'grippy' on my hand) and the texture on the pen tip is absolutely heaven.

If you haven't done this, i say try it. Im sure the texture of the paper is a big factor, so dont go taping some laser printer paper down, but i just wanted to say i highly recommend it.

Responsive CMS Mar 27, 13, 7:44 p.m.

We've got a custom built CMS that has been rolled out to about 20 clients. We're in the process of a rebuild at the moment...a couple of clients have asked about a responsive layout for the CMS.

Tossing up at the moment whether to do this...is it necessary for a CMS to be responsive given it's a fairly small installed base? Overkill or a nice feature to promote?
